Preview: “Picks of the Harvest 2012” @ Thinkspace

Every year, Thinkspace puts on a group show featuring numerous newer artists they’ve had their eye on over the past year and adds in some artists from their regular rotation and titles it Picks of the Harvest. Streets: DAL – “The Williams Brothers” (Cape Town)

The South Africa-based DAL recently sent us some photos of his latest mural enititled The Williams Brothers. As you can see, some of his signature lifeforms comprised of abstract weaves of energy are bounding across the side of a building. Openings: Wooster Collective & Natalia Fabia @ Jonathan LeVine

Last weekend, the Jonathan LeVine Gallery kicked off the new year with two fresh shows. First was an exhibition curated by one of our favorite street art blogs – the Wooster Collective. Entitled Hybrid Thinking, the group show featured great works from DAL, Herakut, HYURO, ROA, SIT and VINZ. Streets: World Roundup (Jan 9 – Jan 15)

Well, hope everyone survived Friday the 13th. If so, you are will be able to enjoy this week’s roundup of work on the streets. Leading the charge is a series of new murals in an abandoned tower by Sheffield-based artist Phlegm. You can see the rest of them here. Teaser: MSA Gallery Paris Launch

MSA Gallery will be making it debut this Saturday, November 26th in Paris. The inaugural exhibition will showcase works both original and editioned from artists such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey, DAL, Faith47, Invader, D*Face, Kaws, Faile, David Walker and more. In addition, there will be live painting performance by Ben Slow, Joseph Loughborough and Mac1 for those in attendance to enjoy.

Streets: CityLeaks Summary – Faith47, DAL, ROA, Herakut, INTI

We’ve already shown you the walls that Blu and Ethos painted for the CityLeaks Festival in Germany, but it looks like it’s time for a summary of some of the rest of the participants. As we have become accustomed to, street artists Faith47 and DAL worked on murals with religious overtones and frenetic energy respectively. Belgium-based ROA brought his new skinned animal concepts from indoors to outdoors.
