Preview: Dan May – “Patient Season”

Going public early this week will be Dan May’s (interviewed) latest selection of work, collectively entitled Patient Season. The new drawings and paintings ranging in size from 6″ X 6″ to 18″ X 24″ will be available online and will bring together themes of hope, peace, love, mystery, and intrigue. One last image for you on All Hallows’ Eve before you head out for your festivities. Patch was a piece Dan May (interviewed) did earlier this month, which was also released as a print. And like this painting, AM hopes that your night includes pumpkins, costumes, and other creepy creatures.

The annual BLAB WORLD show (see 2009, 2010, and 2011) is set to open this Saturday night, September 8th, at the Copro Gallery. Chicago-based painter Dan May (interviewed) recently put up a set of two prints for sale based on a commission piece he painted entitled The Resistless Hour Awaits. Featuring some of his signature imagery like his detailed rendering of strands, the limited editions are 16 x 20″ each, signed & numbered with COA, in a run of 50, and will cost you $100.
