Openings: “Flourish” @ Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum

Over the weekend, the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum in Arizona hosted the opening of Flourish, a group show curated by Thinkspace Gallery. Over 100 artists contributed to the exhibition but the standouts for us were the murals from Esao Andrews and Nosego as well as a sweet hanging installation from Felipe Pantone. Releases: Ernest Zacharevic – “Splash and Burn” Lithograph

Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic just announced he will be releasing his self-produced limited edition Splash and Burn on the 20th of January at 3pm GMT via ErnestZacharevic.com. This 11 layer lithograph was produced at the Idem Studio in Paris and each print has been hand finished by the artist. Streets / Recap: Dubai Street Museum

The first phase of the Dubai Street Museum project was recently completed with the participation of 12 international and local artists, producing 16 murals on themes drawn from the UAE’s history and heritage. The second edition of POW! WOW! Long Beach is underway with artists painting in the streets as well as inside the Long Beach Museum of Art for the upcoming Vitality & Verve: In The Third Dimension show (covered). Releases: Ernest Zacharevic – “Norwegian Bubble” Cross-Stiched Pieces

You may remember earlier this year during the NuArt Festival, Ernest Zacharevic painted a mural (seen below) in Stavenger referencing the Norwegian cross-stitch with the twist being the burning house. For this holiday season, he has teamed up with his partner-in-crime, Sheena Liam, to create a series entitled Norwegian Bubble of 12 individual frames that they are making available thru email – [email protected].
