In association with Galerie Ernst Hilger’s Cash, Cans, & Candy street art group show in Vienna, various participants have also got up around town. Faile contributed an interesting large-scale mural utilizing a block-style process for the first time. Each piece of the 84 sections are handpainted with stencils, an aesthetic that is a nice parallel the format seen in the Brooklyn-based duo’s gallery work recently with the puzzle work. Last Wednesday marked the return of Faile’s Les BALLETS de FAILE to the New York City Ballet at the Lincoln Center. The Brooklyn Museum recently held its annual benefit gala to raise funds for the institution’s programming. Tonight (May 29th) marks the return of Faile’s Les BALLETS de FAILE to the New York City Ballet at the Lincoln Center with all new works on display. In place of the epic tower installation for the first showing (covered) will be a series of prayer wheels from the Brooklyn duo as well as new paintings. Brooklyn street duo Faile is releasing a new print today entitled Sweet Sins through a lottery system. The varied edition of 250 measureS 12.5 x 19 inches and have hand-painted touches, are stained, and have backs that are printed, stamped and embossed.
