Headlining our Rewind feature this week is a look at the incredibly intricate and ornate sculptural assemblages by Kris Kuksi. Openings: Hush – “Fatales” @ The Outsiders

After completing a high profile project working on the interiors of TAO a the Maritime Hotel in New York, Hush (interviewed) returned to the UK to open a solo at The Outsiders in London. Fatales features paintings and sketches from the Newcastle-based artist rendered in a style familiar to fans of the Hush melding Eastern & Western influences. Hush For TAO Downtown (New York)

Over the weekend, TAO held a monster party to launch their new location at the Maritime Hotel in Chelsea, their second New York location. Over the course of four weeks leading up to the grand opening, the UK-based Hush’s (interviewed) was asked to create multiple large-scale installations for the  mega-clubrestaurant, essentially guiding the design of the interiors thematically with is his east meats west urban aesthetic and the geisha girls that have populated his works of late. It’s a little late, but here is the final article summarizing this year’s Nuart Festival (see previous years). Featuring a towering and kinetic piece from Dal East as well as some more work from Hush and C215, this unfortunately will have to tide your over until next year. Nuart ’13: Part VI – Group Exhibition

Along with the plethora of murals painted for this year’s Nuart Festival (see previous years), the artists involved also put together a group exhibition indoors as well. David Choe, C215, Martin Whatson, Hush, Ernest Zacharevic, Dal East, Faith47, Martha Cooper, Aiko and others all created works in their own recognizable style. Nuart Festival ’13: Part II – Ernest Zacharevic, Hush, Strøk

This year’s Nuart Festival (see previous years) officially opened this weekend and we have a plethora of new street pieces to share with you. Preview: Hush – “Unseen” @ Corey Helford Gallery

Yesterday, we shared with you photos of Hush’s (interviewed) new mural in Los Angeles painted while he was preparing for his solo show at the Corey Helford Gallery.
