This year’s Glastonbury Festival kicked off recently in the UK where attendees were surprised by an appearance by Banksy’s Sirens of the Lambs truck. Currently showing at the StolenSpace Gallery in London through July 4th is an exhibition from ROA entitled PROJECTUM 06. The installation and new body of work featured his dissected portrayals of wildlife from the places he has traveled and reflects the work on the street from the Belgium-based artist. On the afternoon of Saturday, May 31, FriendsWithYou celebrated the release of their We Are FriendsWithYou book, published by Rizzoli. The live signing event happened in their hometown of Los Angeles, at MOCA Grand Ave, with fans and friends of all ages. UK-based artist Mobstr (interviewed) recently launched his solo exhibition Sex, Drugs & Painting Walls Canvases at The Old Truman Brewery in London. Following his public works (covered here), the minimalistic street artist has created black and white canvases with witty text messages, flyers to support a ‘save the trees’ campaign, and a series of installations from dummy spray painters to the re-creation of the artist at work surrounded by a sea of draft messages. Volvo Art Session is live art project taking place in Zurich’s main railway station that finds “selected Swiss and international artists applying their creativity to a Volvo car” The organizers of the event invited Nychos as one of the artists for their fourth year of the event.
