Releases: Jeff Soto – “Seeker Friends Elements: Life” Print

Earlier this year, we introduced you to the Seeker Friends Elements series from Jeff Soto (interviewed). A continuation of his Seeker Friends prints, the set of nine total timed editions will have a new addition, Life, on Thursday at noon PST, and will be available for 24 hours until noon PST on Friday after which no more will be sold. Sized at 6″ x 6″ on sustainable plywood, the new print will be available for $30 at the aforementioned time at Prints On Wood. Discuss Jeff Soto here.

A couple weeks ago, we visited Giant Robot 2 in West LA to check out the 20 Years Art X Mags Exhibition. Releases: Jeff Soto – “Seeker Friends Elements: Air” Print

For those who enjoyed the Seeker Friends prints from Jeff Soto (interviewed), he will be revisiting the series with a new set of Elements. Currently for sale as a timed release from the Riverside-based artist is Air (6″ x 6″), available at Prints on Wood. This Saturday, November 9th, the Bunsen Goetz Gallery in Nuremberg, Germany will be hosting a two person show from Jeff Soto (interviewed) and Maxx242. The two friends and studio mates, who recently travelled together to Luxembourg (covered), will be returning to Europe with new works playing with “themes of love, sexuality, and spirituality” for Fire Within. In association with the exhibition, the two artists from Riverside, California (Nuremberg’s sister city) will be giving a talk at the German-American Institute at Nuremberg on Thursday, November 7th at 7 pm. Jeff Soto and Maxx242 in Luxembourg

Last month, Jeff Soto (interviewed) along his friend and fellow artist Maxx242 headed to Luxembourg for the Goodbye Monopol 2 event. Monopol was a much loved market chain that closed down a few years ago so organizers invited artists (some others were all ten of The Weird Crew, The London Police, Eyes-B, and Mr. X) to paint the old headquarters. Jeff Soto (interviewed) has sent over a final photo of the mural (see Part I) he was working on with Maxx242 while they were in town for a presentation at Pictoplasma. The two decided on an owl, skull, and octopus themed piece for Berlin as well as some other miscellaneous action around town. It looks like Jeff Soto (interviewed) is scratching his street art itch again (see Hawaii) with a new mural in Berlin, this time with his friend Maxx242. Bringing back the reoccurring owl that is seen in his work (like last year in Richmond), Soto will be combining his skills with his fellow Riverside-based artist friend Maxx242. Starting on March 7th at Noon (PST) for 24 hours, the newest timed release from Jeff Soto (interviewed) will be released from Prints On Wood. Again, the print will be sized at 6″ x 6″ and priced at $25 (with $1 from every print going to plantabillion.org to plant one tree).
