Last night, AM attended the opening for the gallery portion of Logan Hicks’ and Book’s Primary Flight. During the day, the artists had worked hard at creating murals for the largest site specific mural installation for this year’s Art Basel all over the Wynwood Art District. Openings: Logan Hicks & C215 – “Parallel Universe” @ Show & Tell Gallery

Renowned stencil artists Logan Hicks (interviewed) and C215 opened their joint show “Parallel Unverse” at Show & Tell Gallery last week.  For their first show in Canada, the NY based Hicks brings his familiar architectural inspired cityscapes and Parisian artist C215 once again channels emotions from the human subjects he favors. AM just got back from the opening of Green Day’s “The Art of Rock” show at London’s StolenSpace gallery (previewed), the night before the band starts a run of sold out dates on the UK leg of the 21st Century Breakdown Tour. Logan Hicks (interviewed) curated the group show, which consisted of 18 pieces of art inspired by the lyrics of the new album. Teaser: C215 & Logan Hicks – “Parallel Universe” @ Show & Tell Gallery

Just coming off the opening of his solo show in Paris, C215 is already getting ready to conquer another country. This time, he is collaborating with another stencil master, Logan Hicks (interviewed), for a show in Canada at Show & Tell Gallery.  Opening November 6th, “Parallel Universe” will no doubt showcase the strengths of both artists, their complex stencils. At 7pm tonight, Thinkspace Gallery plays host for the opening of “ModArt – A Celebration of 20 Issues and All That Lay Ahead,” a group show curated by the team at European based ModArt Magazine. Openings: “Willoughby Windows” presented by Ad Hoc Art

Bringing life to a row of twelve empty storefronts in New York, the “Willoughby Windows” (previewed) community beautification project presented by Ad Hoc Art in conjunction with the MetroTech Business Improvement District, was a success by all accounts. The storefronts, located at 89 to 106 Willoughby Street in Brooklyn, included participation from artists Chris Stain, Ellis G. (interviewed), Gaia, Logan Hicks (interviewed), Dennis McNett, Michael De Feo, Josh MacPhee and more.
