Teaser: Roland Tamayo – “With Ease” @ Gallery 1988 (LA)

Opening tonight, September 30th, at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles will be a new series of seven paintings from Roland Tamayo (interviewed). Showing alongside Ben Strawn in a joint show is entitled “With Ease”, Roland will be showing paintings with his signature nature / technology juxtapositions. Friends and LA-based artists Edwin Ushiro’s (interviewed) and Yoskay Yamamoto (featured) made their way northwest to attend the opening of their latest joint show at the Roq La Rue a couple of weeks ago. Teaser: Tara McPherson – “The Bunny in the Moon” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

Featured next month in New York at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery will be the bittersweet art from the “Queen of Hearts” Tara McPherson. We’ll be looking forward to seeing what adventures are in store for her signature redheads with their heart motifs (see Dr. Sketchy session), but we’re sure the new body of work will also bring some other surprises for her fans.
