Another talented group of artists will be participating in a group show next month entitled “Visionary Art”. The exhibition, held in Italy’s Mondo Bizarro Gallery will include Greg “Craola” Simkins (featured), Laurie Lipton, Dan Quintana, Naoto Hattori and Mike Davis. New York native Justin BUA, whom we recently met at the “Who Killed The Music” Grammy Art Show”, will be opening his solo show (both old and new works) at the Pop International Gallery on Thursday, March 25. Justin, who is currently teaching at USC, takes inspiration from urban culture and in particular the Harlem Renaissance. Arriving in the nick of time from Austin, Jeremy Fish (featured) beat the current Colorado snowstorm and is, as we speak, preparing for the opening of his second stop on the “Road Less Traveled” tour. Preview: Dan May – “Beneath the Noise” @ Rotofugi

Opening tonight at Rotofugi is a new body of work from Dan May (interviewed). “Beneath the Noise” features some nice size pieces like “Bittersweet Departure” (seen above) sized at 18 x 18″ as well as some affordable smaller pieces. Carmichael Gallery’s move to Culver City is the big news this weekend. With the debut North American solo show from Brazilian artist Nina Pandolfo “Life’s Flavor” serving as their debut exhibition, this proves to be a not to be missed event. AM was on hand when Michael Page (interviewed) opened his show “Return of the Nephilim” at Copro Gallery a couple weekends ago. Right next door to the Hi-Fructose Five Year Anniversary show was a more focused body of work from Page continuing to explore the abstraction he began at his last show at Varnish Fine Arts. The lush and intensely hued paintings are Page’s interpretation of the mysterious Nephilim from the Old Testament. Photos after the jump…

Nate Frizzell (featured) will be opening his first solo show in the UK next week (March 26th) at the bo.lee Gallery in Bath. The new body of work entitled “Every New Beginning Starts with Another Beginnings End” will feature oil paintings from Nate for the first time.
