Luke Chueh’s (interviewed) upcoming show at Corey Helford in February is shaping up to be an interesting affair. One of the highlights of the Scope Art Fair this year was the booth from LA’s Corey Helford Gallery. This Saturday, December 18th, the traveling Playboy Redux II exhibition makes its stop in Los Angeles at Copro Gallery. In addition to some already exhibited work seen at earlier stops like the Warhol Museum (covered), a whole new group of artists have been asked to reinterpret the iconic bunny including Luke Chueh (seen above) who has an interesting take on the “money shot” for his long-suffering bear. Last night at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Sanrio opened the doors to a tremendous 50th Anniversary celebration featuring carnival games, costumed characters, special food booths, limited edition event products from the company, and of course – a themed art group show (curated by JAPAN LA). Releases: Luke Chueh – “Black in White (And Red All Over) Figure

Today Munky King will be releasing a new variant of Luke Chueh’s (interviewed) “Black in White” figure (first seen at Comic-Con). This version will be limited to 250 pieces and is hand painted to be extra bloody (hence the “Red All Over”). Along with the figure, there will be original paintings and an exclusive print release as well.
