Mark Ryden is set to open his new show “The Gay 90’s” in Chelsea’s Paul Kasmin Gallery at the end of April. Back for his first solo since his “Snow Yak” show in Tokyo’s Tomio Koyama, Mark looks to take NYC by storm. Mark your calendars as it opens April 29th. One of the highlights of our trip to Miami was definitely seeing this new Mark Ryden piece revealed at the Paul Kasmin Gallery booth at Art Basel. The breathtaking 72″ x 48″ piece “Incarnation” seems to be a happy medium between his new minimalistic style seen at his last solo at Tomio Koyama in Japan and his older imagery. In what looks to be a magical wedding deep in the forest, Mark Ryden and Marion Peck tied the knot amongst friend and family. With a beautiful setting and costumes that just seem appropriate, the artists made it official. We wish them all the happiness in the world and many years painting together…
