The nasty one, Neck Face (interviewed), recently released a new line of clothing with Guilty Parties of Japan featuring his provocative imagery. Ranging from t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, to Hawaiian shirts, all the different designs can be seen at a special release party coming up in Tokyo on September 9th. Last weekend, the New Image Art hosted another “frightening” exhibition from Neck Face (interviewed) at their West Hollywood showspace. In addition to works and prints highlighting his special form of dark humor, he also created a shrine to the Night Stalker (Richard Ramirez), who recently died in prison, as well as accented the walls with his signature colors and aesthetic. On September 7th, nasty Neck Face (interviewed) returns to West Hollywood (see 2012) for a showing at New Image Art. On Sunday night, the New Image Gallery debuted their new location with new artwork by the somewhat anonymous figure Neck Face (interviewed) and also the work by an artist simply known as Fuck This Life. Last Sunday, AM dropped by the Levi’s Film Workshop, where they were screening the trailer for Born Under a Bad Sign, a film in progress by artist Neck Face and director Isaiah Seret. The upcoming feature-length kung fu horror movie, starring the artist was filmed in his alleyway installation at MOCA’s Art in the Streets exhibition. For the third year, Miami’s OHWOW put on its annual Art Basel Week group exhibition, entitled It Ain’t Fair, which is always a welcome respite from the cubicled craziness of Basel and the other fairs.
