Releases: Mark Ryden – The Snow Yak Show Print Portfolio (Spectaculum Poefagorum Nivium)

For those Mark Ryden fans out there who have the bankroll, Porterhouse will be releasing a beautiful new print portfolio based on his Snow Yak show. The set will include all 10 images (eight paintings and two drawings) from the exhibition held in Japan in 2009 at the Tomio Koyama Gallery, come in an edition of 50, and cost you $4750. Teaser: Elbow-Toe @ the Warrington Museum

It looks like Elbow-Toe’s (interviewed) work was recently featured in the Fall Fashion issue of Paper Magazine. You’ll be seeing that image, entitled “Sweet Dreams” again as it will be featured in his upcoming show at the Warrington Museum in the UK. Releases: Ryan McGinley – “Life Adjustment Center” Book

Coinciding with his show at Ratio 3, Dashwood Books is releasing a book based on Ryan McGinley’s “Life Adjustment Center” (covered) exhibition.  The book will ship Nov 8, but you can pre-order yours today.  It is $45, hardcover, 7″ x 9.5″, and an edition of 3,000. Our friends at Hi-Fructose will be releasing their Hi-Fructose Collected Edition Vol. 2 tomorrow (November 4th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm) at the SFMOMA. Recently, AM attended the VIP preview of Tachen’s latest art book: Trespass: A History of Uncommissioned Urban Art. Written by Carlo McCormick, curated by our friends Marc & Sara Schiller at the Wooster Collective, and edited by Ethel Seno, this behemoth houses tons of pictures documenting graffiti and other forms of unsanctioned art all around the globe.
