Studio Visit: Remi Rough

We stopped by the studio of Remi Rough while he prepared for his upcoming solo show entitled Post at the Speerstra Gallery in Switzerland. Since his first gallery exhibition in 1989, the British artist has successfully transitioned from his early graffiti style to create his own abstract geometrical language, recognisable regardless of its form, whether  large scale murals or gallery works. Opening on the 12th of November, the exhibition will feature nineteen new works on paper and canvas. Remi Rough will redefine the idea of space and invite the viewer […]

Streets: World Roundup (Oct 28 – Dec 1)

It’s time for another roundup of street art around the world that we didn’t have a chance to cover in-depth. First up is a mural from Case in Erfurt, Germany for the OQ Paint project. Utilizing the overlapping hand and finger imagery seen in his recent work (ie: New York), the Maclaim member created a special public work that fans in the city can enjoy for years. If you are interested in more in-progress photos, head over here. Other notable work comes from: Rone – […]

This week’s look at public art around the world is headlined by this new piece (source) from Case (aka Andreas von Chrzanowski) in Frankfurt, Germany. Make sure you stop by before the exhibition close on December 9th for a look at it yourself. Other videos worth watching include: Video of the A Show of Heads show featuring John Casey, Lucien Shapiro & Brian […]

Keep your eyes peeled for more action in the coming days. This collaboration between Joker, Shok-1 and Remi Rough works particularly well, and was completed over the last 2 days.
