The Montresso Foundation in Marrakesh, Morocco is currently wrapping up their latest group exhibition which was on view from April 16th to May 31st. Following up their XXL # 1 show in December 2017, XXL # 2 once again consisted of groundbreaking works by four emblematic artists representing the global urban culture. Rules of Engagement, a joint show from Mark Jenkins (interviewed) and Rero, is currently on view at Wunderkammern and will run until October 28th. The exhibition at the gallery’s Milan venue features the American Jenkins bringing his signature and often ski-masked sculptural pieces in from the streets while still retaining the cleverness and grittiness in the indoor setting. Basel Week Miami ’16 / Openings: Fabien Castanier Gallery Popup Exhibition

The Bogota and Los Angeles-based Fabien Castanier Gallery used Basel Week Miami as an opportunity to show their roster of urban artists to the art-thirsty crowd in Wynwood with a popup exhibition. Displayed in two large spaces in the vibrant neighborhood, the exhibition also served as a teaser of what they will are planning for their upcoming Miami gallery location scheduled to open next year. Recap: Ludo x Rero Installation (Bogota)

French artists and studio mates, Ludo and Rero, were recently visiting Colombia during the ArtBo Artfair week in Bogota. They were invited to create a collaborative installation at a 500 year old historical site where they incorporated their work into a colonial patio. Inspired by Mexican author of Toltec spiritualist and neoshamanistic texts, Don Miguel Ruiz, and the famous the Toltec guides to personal freedom known as The Four Agreements, the work was separated into four independent sections. A little while back we brought you a preview of some of the work for Word Play, hosted at Design Matters Gallery in Los Angeles. The premise of the exhibition excited us as the curated theme was based around text within art. The group exhibition was curated by Stephanie Chefas, of Platinum Cheese blog fame and features a variety of artists from very different backgrounds but all commonly using text in their work though a range of styles and mediums.
