Titifreak for Seido Restaurant (Rio de Janeiro)

Brazilian street artist Ttitfreak recently released photos of a mural he recently painted for Seido Restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. Drawing from his Japanese heritage, his imagery fits in perfectly with the cuisine in this restaurant which in this case featured one of the koi fish that we often see from him. David Shrigley for Sketch Restaurant (London)

Like what Damien Hirst’s art did for the Tramshed Restaurant, David Shrigley has now done for sketch in London. The Turner Prize nominated and Fourth Plinth commissioned artist contributed 239 new works (available for purchase through Stephen Friedman Gallery) for the restaurant that now line the walls, the largest group of drawings that he has created. In addition, Shrigley has contributed new ceramic tableware (available for purchase online next year) that feature his distinctive text. Discuss David Shrigley here.

Isaac Lin Mural @ Elixr Coffee (Philadelphia)

Elixr Coffee in Philadelphia is continuing their art program by commissioning Isaac Lin to create an indoor mural at their city center location. After Jim Houser painted one back in August (covered), this was the third piece they have commissioned from local creatives. Lin is a versatile artist who painted a wall for the Philadelphia International Airport last year, created one of his images that is strongly influenced by cartoons and calligraphy, as well as his passion for graffiti. Jim Houser Mural @ Elixr Coffee (Philadelphia)

Philly-based painter, Jim Houser, recently worked on an indoors mural at Elixr Coffee in Philadelphia, as a part of their art program. While his works are showing in couple of group shows at the moment, Jim worked on his piece for couple of days, painting an image based on a small family portrait that is hanging in his son’s room. Damien Hirst Donates Artwork To Burger King

Not content to just have his work displayed in an upmarket Shoreditch eatery (Tramshed Restaurant), British artist Damien Hirst has gone to the other end of the market and donated a piece of art to the Burger King in Leicester Square. For trendy London eatery Tramshed, the menu primarily focuses on steak and chicken items. Greeting guests and reminding them of this fact is the spectacularly placed Cock and Bull piece from Damien Hirst created specifically for the restaurant. No word on if the formaldehyde tank featuring the uncooked versions of the food has any effect on your appetite, but it is sure to have fans of the British artist salivating for more.
