Last weekend, the outdoor fields and indoor hanger Pima Art and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona were the venues for the hand-painted vintage planes of The Boneyard Project: Return Trip. Playing to his strengths of appropriating pop culture for his own unique creations, Ron English (featured) has recently revealed two projects he has been working on. Last Thursday, New York’s Opera Gallery held an opening for their latest show entitled Making Faces. Videos: An Evening with Ron English @ MoMA

Ron English (featured) fans out there – tomorrow night (January 9th) if you head over to the MoMA in New York, you can spend an evening with the self-described “popoganda” specialist. The itinerary for the night includes Pedro Carvajal’s 2005 documentary feature Popaganda: The Art and Crimes of Ron English, a sampling of English’s recent moving image works, including the “Detroit project” from his ongoing video-posting series, and a discussion between Paper magazine editor Carlo McCormick and Ron. Merry Christmas from Ron English

Over the weekend, the Corey Helford Gallery debuted a new collection of work from artist and visual satirist Ron English (featured). Titled Seasons in Superbia, the show featured the NY-based artist’s ironic take on everything ranging from Peanuts characters to other pop culture icons from the comic book world, film, and animation. Tonight in Culver City, art show attendees will be subjected to the surreal vision of Ron English (featured). Seasons in Supurbia, the NY-based painter’s newest solo show, will be held at the Corey Helford Gallery and will feature beautiful renderings of your favorite cast of “popaganda” characters including toy soldiers, camo-deer, hulk-boy, and more – including some surprises. Streets: Ron English – Barracuda Wall (Los Angeles)

Just a few hours before his latest show at Post No Bills gallery (covered), Ron English (featured) took the time to adorned the fame Barracuda wall with his signature style. The wall which sits near the intersection of Melrose and Fairfax features four different images which touch upon the satirical aspect of English’s artwork.
