Entitled simply PST, the new piece which took six days to complete depicts an artist being held up by two large hands. Streets: Spencer Tunick (Munich Opera Festival)

American photographer Spencer Tunick, known for organizing large-scale public nude photoshoots, has struck again – this time in Germany. The human installation created from 1,700 individuals marked the start of Munich’s 2012 opera season by gathering in formations recalling scenes from Richard Wagner’s opera Der Ring Des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung). Painted in red or gold, the participants were part of a project commissioned by the Bavarian State Opera. Photo credit: Bayerische Staatsoper thru Designboom.

Streets: Phelgm (Ireland)

It looks like Phlegm, like many street artists, is taking advantage of the good weather to get up on as many walls as he can. Not long after a series of Waterways, he now has a couple more to add, this time in Bantry, West Cork (Ireland). Included was this sweet submersible, structured after a fish, piloted by his characters. Discuss Phlegm here.
