Streets: Nychos (San Francisco)

Austrian street muralist Nychos has made a return to San Francisco after painting a massive wall in the city last year. This time around, he worked on a ground level dissection in Haight-Ashbury (arranged by Wallspace SF) for his fans in the Bay Area, many of whom will be making it out to the opening of his solo show, entitled Street Anatomy, on April 18th at Fifty24SF. Streets: La Tour Paris 13 Demolished

The other day, the inevitable end of La Tour Paris 13‎ project (covered) started. The big (de)construction machines surrounded the building inside which 100 artists from around the world left their mark, and started tearing it down. This project was curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance, and was undertaken with the idea to paint the inside of this abandoned building creating the biggest street art exhibition in France. As the machines started ripping the walls, the works by world renowned artists such as Swoon, Inti, Vhils, Cope2,  Indie […]

Streets: Aryz (Austria)

Spanish muralist Aryz recently spent few days in Linz, Austria, working on this gigantic piece titled Overprotected. Using his signature palette of pastel colors, the Barcelona-based artist painted this massive image showing two characters in a hug & clinch posture. A bit simpler & cleaner than other works […]

Streets: Faith47 (Cape Town)

Faith47 just shared this beautiful piece in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. Titled You Hold No Blame For My Proud Heart, the piece is shows two swans facing each other forming a heard shaped image. In her signature manner, the South African artist used watered out paint that dripped all over the wall as well as got soaked in, making the mural become one with the surface and the building it’s painted on. The transparency of the image and the fact that the wall wasn’t cleaned or buffed before […]

Aside from creating public works, this endeavor will include a couple of gallery shows worldwide that will feature elements of these works as well as new pieces and installations. For this stage of the project, the prolific Italian artist painted an old […]
