SHAG (interviewed) will be invading the one and only Disneyland this August 9th (10am – 1pm) for a special meet, greet, and signing to celebrate the release of his “Haunted Mansion” inspired artwork and limited edition products created in commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. Openings: Hi-Fructose Group Show – “Overdose” @ Copro Gallery

“Overdose” (previewed) opened this past Saturday at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica. Upon entering the gallery, you will notice several great pieces from “Overdose” on display in the gallery’s front room. The majority of the exhibition’s body of work is displayed in the gallery’s main room. A table was set up over in the smaller wing of the gallery for the Hi-Fructose Collected Edition 1 book signing. After their highly successful group show last year, Hi-Fructose is back again with another exhibition, this time titled “Overdose,” opening April 4th at Copro Gallery.Â With a increasingly more respected reputation as one of the best publications in the scene, they been able to assemble a pretty amazing lineup.Â Sure to be one of the showstoppers is this huge 50 x 50 inch Chris Berens piece seen above.Â See some other preview pics as well as the full lineup after the jump.

Last night, AM was on hand at Jonathan LeVine for the preview of two great shows, Shag’s Voyeur (previewed/interviewed) and Stephan “Calma” Doitschinoff’s Novo Mundo. Shag’s work is nothing less than magnetic from the second one enters the gallery. After coming back from Jeff Soto’s studio after dinner. The attendees and the artists came back to the resort and got a very special treat. An authenticÂ “life drawing” session was awaiting… not only forÂ the participants, but also for the artists to experience. The second annual Baby Tattooville is fast approaching (October 3-5). This unique event, billed as a “limited edition retreat for artists & collectors,” has grown on us and Arrested Motion will be on hand to cover the event. The idea was for 50 paying attendees to spend the weekend participating in scheduled activities (panels, workshops, etc) and to socialize with the eventâ€™s artists.
