This Tuesday, Phillips de Pury & Company will be holding their more-accessible Under the Influence contemporary auction in New York. Remember the limited edition boxsets we told you about that will be released at the upcoming “Revolutions” show by Shepard Fairey (featured)? Now we have some photos for you of how the album cover print set is coming together. It sounds like there will be two different limited edition sets with each containing 36 signed and numbered screen prints, a sticker sheet, and a stencil in a gold leaf embossed box. Shepard Fairey (featured) will be putting on a show on March 12th at the Robert Berman Gallery featuring some of his most beloved imagery – his album cover art. Entitled Revolutions, the body of work on display will feature over 80 pieces of punk, rock, new wave, jazz, and hip-hop inspired artwork based on the 12″ record cover format. All Tomorrow’s Parties USA has just unveiled Shepard Fairey as the special artist for this year’s festival. For the event, Fairey has designed the above poster featuring the Asbury Park Convention Center and Paramount Theater where the three-day music extravaganza will be held. This past weekend, the second annual Art Los Angeles Contemporary took place at its newest location, The Barker Hanger.
