Augustine Kofie (featured) and Teo Pirisi aka Moneyless met for the first time in San Francisco back in 2010, and ever since they’ve been both friends and admirers of each other’s work. Upcoming: Tauba Auerbach – “The New Ambidextrous Universe” @ ICA (London)

On April 16th, the ICA in London will be presenting the first solo exhibition in the UK from the transcendent Tauba Auerbach. Entitled The New Ambidextrous Universe, the show will feature a diverse selection of works from the versatile artist including sculpture, photography, painting, weaving and book design. In particular, we are interested in her newly created works that “take as their starting point the scientific principles of symmetry and reflection as a means to hint at an alternate, mirror universe.” Discuss Tauba Auerbach here.

AM just received several exclusive images of the works Ernest Zacharevic made for his solo show opening at Montana Gallery in Barcelona on the 21st of March. José Parlá, who recently finished a mural at the James B. Hunt Library at North Carolina State University, continues his work with institutes of higher learning with a new project in Porland. Oakland based artist Max Kauffman made the trek back to his former home town of Denver, Colorado for his solo show Aether Ceremony at Black Book Gallery. True to the fictional element for which the show is named, the flowing lines and semi-abstracted imagery make the show feel light, elusive and Aether like. Releases: Shepard Fairey – “Ai Weiwei” Print

It looks like Shepard Fairey (featured) has created a new print as a tribute to Ai Weiwei ahead of the Chinese artist’s show opening soon at the Brooklyn Museum. The portrait is created with Shep’s signature style and features a gash on the activist-artist’s scalp alluding to his time in the Chinese police’s hands back in 2010. This Friday, March 21st, the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery in Ontario, Canada will be opening a new show from Tristram Lansdowne (interviewed). Entitled Provisional Futures, the exhibition will include a series of fresh works from the Toronto-based painter that further explores his practice of melding architectural forms with botanical & geological structures, perhaps pointing to the future.
