Just as Shepard Fairey completes from a fruitful yet exhaustive trip to Washington D.C.Â (AM covered the entire trip here), he continues his break-neck schedule and immediately resumes focus on continuing preparations for his upcoming retrospective at the ICA in Boston which starts February 6th. Teaser: KAWS @ Honor Fraser

It looks like KAWS will be making a trip to the west coast in February for his show at LA gallery Honor Fraser. Entitled “The Long Way Home,” this exhibit (opening Feb. 21st) will feature new paintings, sculptural works, and an installation. Â Apparently, there will also a specially curated show at Royal/T by KAWS, selecting from the vast collection of owner and collector Susan Hancock. Via Sourharvest. Discuss this show here. Setup: Dalek @ Redux Contemporary

As previously reported, Dalek’s (interviewed) show Broken, Beaten, & Buried is scheduled to open tonight at the Redux Contemporary Art Center.Â As you can see, Dalek and his crew are hard at work getting the installations ready for the exhibition.Â We were expecting paintings but didn’t realize they would be prepping the walls as well…can’t wait to see it finished.Â More installation pics after the jump.

This Friday marks the opening of ART LA 2009, the New Los Angeles International Contemporary Art Fair, featuring a lineup of sixtyÂ emerging and blue-chip galleries. Andy Warhol @ Nassau County Museum of Art

The Nassau County Museum of Art opened an exhibition yesterday of Andy Warhol screenprints. The show runs through May 26 showcasing some of Warholâ€™s classic pop subjects including Marilyn Monroe, Mao Tse-Tung, Superman, Campbell Soup Cans, Dollar Signs and Martha Graham/The Kick. Openings: Know Hope @ Ad Hoc Art

Know Hope’s show (previewed) at Ad Hoc Art opened last weekend in NY to a pretty good crowd.Â As with most of his shows, the centerpiece was an installation, vividly bringing to life the imagery of his art.Â His well-known grappling and intertwined characters were again the stars in this body of work that seemed to have a seafaring theme.
