Currently in Brussels, Isaac Cordal’s show entitled La Comédie humaine is on view at La Médiatine. The series of sculptures and installations continues to document the lives of the little cement businessmen that the Spanish artist is known for, mirroring his work on the streets. Streets / Recap: POW! WOW! Worcester

A couple weeks ago, POW! WOW! Worcester welcomed in artists from 8 different countries as well as locally from Massachusetts. In association with the event, there were gallery shows and other activities, but the main draw was the live painting (like in other POW! WOW! events around the world). With the end of another week of summer (good weather for outdoor mural painting), it’s time for another Streets World Roundup. Leading things off are these two murals seen above from Shok-1 and Marina Zumi for the Lollapalooza Berlin Festival. Nuart ’16 / Openings: “Post-Street Art” @ Tou Scene

After days of preparation, the central event of each year’s Nuart Festival was held on Saturday, the 10th of September. On view was a group show by participating artists titled Post-Street Art was in the tunnels of Tou Scene. Like in the past, the space of the former brewery was divided between the artists, some sharing the rooms with collaborative installations and some showing works by themselves. One of the events that marked the official opening of this year’s Nuart Festival on the 8th of September was the opening of Jeff Gillette’s solo show at Nuart Gallery. For Dismayland Nord, the Detroit-based artist brought his iconic “dismayland” imagery to the idyllic city of Stavanger in Norway. From the 15th of September to the 8th of October, Pace London will be showing new work by Conor Harrington (interviewed). Watch Your Palace Fall will include 10 new large oil paintings in which the Irish-born artist combines realistic brushstrokes with the raw energy of abstraction.
