Right after starting their residency at Villa Medici in Rome, Lek & Sowat teamed up with photographers Yves Marchand & Romain Meffre for a fresh new project that is currently showing at Polka Galerie in Paris. Following his recent print release (see here), French-American artist Sowat, member of the French graffiti crew DMV or Da Mental Vaporz, is opening his solo exhibition at Richard & Lefeuvre Gallery in Geneva on the 23rd of April. Ars Longa Vita Brebis features a new body of work using acrylic and spraypaint on canvas. On Friday, March 3rd (2PM GMT), PrintThemAll.com will be releasing a limited edition by Sowat, one of the members of the French graffiti crew, DMV or Da Mental Vaporz. Freshly opened Richard & Le Feuvre Gallery in Geneve, Switzerland, introduced their work to the local art lovers with an inaugural group show titled Paper Party 2. Members of the French street-art collective Da Mental Vaporz are currently in Berlin, working hard on their upcoming collaborative exhibition, The Wall, opening on the 26th of May at BC gallery. Over looking the Seine, La Tour Paris 13‎ is a project curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance. During a year, the entire building was painted by 100 international street and graffiti artists, each leaving their mark with murals and installations within the 36 apartments over 9 floors and cellars. The BC Gallery just opened a group exhibition in Berlin called HYPERGRAPHIA dedicated to the power of the letter, curated by Maximiliano Ruiz. Each artist in the international lineup is showing a different angle of graffiti influenced calligraphy, from New York graffiti tags to urban calligraphy. The show which includes HEIKO ZAHLMANN (D), MAX RIPPON (US), SOWAT (F), STOHEAD (D), TILT (F), VINCENT ABADIE HAFEZ (F), OS+FORTES (BR) also includes works on paper from Brazil’s pixação movement.

During 3 years the Crimes of Minds project invited local and international artists to create 21 murals across the city of Brest (France), transforming the city into an urban art museum (see previous coverage here).
