Another weekend, another Streets: World Roundup here on AM. The highlighted mural this time comes from Tahrir Square in Egypt where Sheikh Khan painted one of the barriers that the Egyptian military erected to divide the streets that connect to government power centers. This wall, which was painted to look as if it was never there is one of many that the young artists in the area have painted over (story via Hyperallergic). It’s the end of the week and again time for a summary of walls in our roundup. The beautiful piece you see above is from Aryz in Lisbon that was sponsored by the Montana Shop & Gallery. It appears that he also opened a small show there after just opening another show a couple weeks before in Spain (covered). Videos: “Threads: Documentary”

Back in July, Converse & Foot Locker invited four artists to Berlin to work on a project featuring street installations. Expertly curated to include artists who work with similar mediums, the resulting Threads documentary follows Hottea, Moneyless, Spidertag, and Aimee Dymond as they strung, spread, tied, and hung yarn & thread in complex patterns and shapes all in colors of the new Converse Padded Collar.
