Openings: David Ellis for “Go West” @ Mark Moore Gallery

This weeks featured mural for our world roundup is from Liliwenn & Bom K (Da Mental Vaporz) in Brest, France for Crimes of Minds (photo by Kevin Perro). Preview: Meggs – “Truth In Myth” @ White Walls

Tomorrow night in San Francisco, White Walls will be lending their walls to Australia-based painter Meggs as he reveals a new body of work he has been creating on site over the last month. Truth in Myth will feature his comic-inspired imagery infused with kinetic textures and abstract touches played out on multiple surfaces. Besides the aerosol and acrylic on canvas works, his renderings of gods, heroes, and supernatural beings were also painted on plaster skulls, original 1980’s Phantom Comics, and wood knife sculptures. The Los Angeles-based and MSK-affiliated RIME recently made the trip out to New York for this standout wall including the names of Smart Crew members DCEVE and TOPER. As evidenced by his other moniker “Jersey Joe”, RIME has roots and experience getting up in the area which he used to full advantage with this rooftop collaboration or tribute. Upcoming: Futura x Hennessy – VS Cognac Bottle

Remember earlier this year when AM visited Paris to catch Futura 2000 launch his solo exhibition? Well, that wasn’t the end of his affiliation with the country known for some of the best wines and brandies in the world as Hennessy will continue their artist collaboration (see their KAWS bottle) with the graffiti legend.
