This Saturday night, March 24th, the Copro Gallery in Santa Monica will play host to a group exhibition celebrating 18 years of Juxtapoz goodness. An excellent lineup of artists have submitted work to pay their respects to the counter-culture magazine that has revolutionized the art scene including Marion Peck, Mark Ryden, Andrew Schoultz, Souther Salazar, Anthony Ausgang, Tiffany Bozic, Candice Tripp, SHAG and many more. We all hit bumps in the road, but with a little help we can all overcome any obstacles. As mentioned previously, a good friend of AM and assistant director of Joshua Liner Gallery, Tim Strazza, was unfortunately diagnosed with a Multiple Sclerosis. We helped sponsor a fundraiser created by the gallery to generate funds that went to support Tim and his medical bills. On August 4th, the Joshua Liner Gallery will be showcasing their roster of artists, a number of which are scheduled for a solo show soon with the New York gallery. This Thursday, a very special art fundraiser will be held at Joshua Liner Gallery for our friend Tim Strazza who was unfortunately diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. We are helping to sponsor a benefit event where all proceeds will go to his medical bills. Last week, Tiffany Bozic took a fresh batch of works (previewed) to the Joshua Liner Gallery for her exhibition “Confiding to Strangers”. This latest series was breathtaking to say the least as pieces consisting of paper and wood impressed the New York crowd that beelined their way to the show. Apparent in the artwork was Tiffany’s vision and talent that seems to mix Discovery Channel fascination with the imagination of an artist with a unique vision. Saturday night, AM attended the opening of Joshua Liner Gallery’s summer group exhibition, which collects solid works from a very strong roster of artists, some of whom the gallery has shown previously and others of whom the gallery is working with for the first time. From the show, it is clear that Liner is actively evolving and maturing his gallery. And from the response from collectors and others at the opening, it seems that what he’s doing is working.
