For those who enjoyed the glimpses we brought you of Anish Kapoor’s sculptures currently showing in Kensington Gardens, you might appreciate this video from Vernissage TV as well. Releases: Ryan McGinley – “Life Adjustment Center” Book

Coinciding with his show at Ratio 3, Dashwood Books is releasing a book based on Ryan McGinley’s “Life Adjustment Center” (covered) exhibition. The book will ship Nov 8, but you can pre-order yours today. It is $45, hardcover, 7″ x 9.5″, and an edition of 3,000. Dashwood also has a few copies of his last book (their first with the artist) as well, which you should pick up soon, if you’ve been sleeping on it. Discuss Ryan McGinley here.

An interesting video popped up recently from Viddler where producer Jaimie D’ Cruz and editor Chris King of Banksy’s “Exit Through The Gift Shop” were interviewed. Last night, AM attended the opening celebration of the Youtube Play: a Biennial of Creative Video at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. As previewed, the 23,000 videos were filtered down to “the Shortlist“ of 125 that were then whittled down to the final 25 winners. The museum was packed with patrons and art fans attending the inaugural ceremonies.
