AM UK recently attended the bustling evening that was the London launch of Patrick Nguyen & Stuart Mackenzie’s “Beyond The Street” book, hosted at Phillips de Pury. The level of support for the book came over extremely positively in the number of people that attended the event. One of the highlights of Armory Week was a pop-up show like none other thrown by the Carmichael Gallery and Jun Lee at the Ogilvy & Mather’s Manhattan corporate offices. This Friday, March 5th the Carmichael Gallery is visiting the big apple for a collaboration project with Ogilvy & Mather and Jun Lee for a special Armory Week presentation of art’s emerging contemporary street artists. With WK Interact’s latest body of work currently showing at Subliminal Projects (covered), it’s no surprise that SP has decided to release a few of the remaining Shepard Fairey X WK Interact “Revolution Girl” screen prints from 2007. The print is signed by both Shepard and WK, measures in at 18″ X 24″ and can be found here.

This past weekend, WK Interact opened his “amped-up” show “How To Blow Yourself Up” at LA’s Subliminal Projects. Unlike his last show at Jonathan Levine (covered), which focused on giant canvas works, this show centered around the intricately designed urban mechanisms and interactive installations which were handcrafted by WK himself.
