Sculptor Haroshi (featured), who is deeply embedded in skate culture, has designed the trophy for The Battle At The Berrics VII. A fitting collaboration as the unique aesthetic of the Japanese artist features recycled skateboards as his raw materials. Like what Damien Hirst’s art did for the Tramshed Restaurant, David Shrigley has now done for sketch in London. The Turner Prize nominated and Fourth Plinth commissioned artist contributed 239 new works (available for purchase through Stephen Friedman Gallery) for the restaurant that now line the walls, the largest group of drawings that he has created. In addition, Shrigley has contributed new ceramic tableware (available for purchase online next year) that feature his distinctive text. Discuss David Shrigley here.

Last month, White Walls Gallery in San Francisco opened a group exhibition entitled Space//Squared. Curated by Sven Davis, the showing was a followup to an event last year in Portland (covered).
