Chris Valkov just opened his solo exhibition Schematical Sabbatical in Breeze Block Gallery’s gallery 2 space. Tonight (7pm) at the Howard Griffin Gallery (189-190 Shoreditch High Street) in London, a special show from John Dolan will be opening featuring his drawings and collaborations with many street and graffiti artists. Circle Culture Gallery in Berlin is opening Cult, a solo show by American artist Aaron Rose, tonight (September 18th). On Thursday night, September 19th, the Long Beach Museum of Art will host the opening of a new group exhibition entitled Risqué {dirty little pictures}. Over the weekend, the White Walls Gallery in San Francisco presented new urban abstractions from Augustine Kofie. Entitled Structurally Sound, the new works continued the Los Angeles-based artist’s post graffiti aesthetic with thoughts of “sound structures and systems of reliability” when creating the paintings. Over a week ago, Dave Kinsey opened up his solo show, Black and White (previewed), at Fecal Face Dot Gallery. The show featured a series of affordable 8″ x 10″ paintings on chipboard, as well painted wooden sculptures and works on canvas. Many of the works were named after people who had made significant contributions to San Francisco’s past.
