Globetrotting Ukranian duo, Interesni Kazki, who just had a solo showing in Los Angeles (covered), have apparently made their way over to India for some fun. Playing to his strengths of appropriating pop culture for his own unique creations, Ron English (featured) has recently revealed two projects he has been working on. The first is the melding of Barack Obama and The Incredible Hulk into one amazing sculpt although we aren’t quite sure what the message is. Boston-based Ethan Murrow works in large-scale graphite drawings and is the subject of our Art Focus for this week. The full time Graduate and Undergraduate Faculty in Painting at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Beantown bases his imagery on collaborative work with his wife, where she films, photographs and directs him in performances. Amy Sol (interviewed), who has a Los Angeles solo coming up in March, is also releasing a new print appropriately in this new year of the dragon.
