He painstakingly covered this building with skulls and bones, turning it into his personal ossuary and then painted various figures (conquistador, priest, military, business) implied to have profited from the people of Lima. Currently showing at the London Hayward Gallery is the first UK retrospective of famed American artist Ed Ruscha. If you remember recently, Obama chose a painting from Ruscha to redecorate the White House as is customary with a new president. Los Angeles’ Mark Moore Gallery sent us a few preview images of works by Japanese artist Kenichi Yokono that will be shown at their booth at Pulse Miami 09.
