Openings: David Choe – “Death Blossom” @ PYO Gallery Beijing

Yesterday, David Choe unveiled his latest series of works in Beijing at PYO Gallery. As you saw in the preview, David hit the streets of China hard. David showed ingenuity by utilizing whatever he could get his hands on to create complex pieces out of asian cargo and shopping bags, local “yuan” currency, vintage communist era posters and even a badminton shuttlecock! The show had fantastic installation pieces in varying shapes, mediums and sizes. This dynamic body of work truly gives China a taste of what American street art is. After the opening, David will take a few weeks to hitchhike and trek through China.

Check out all the exclusive pictures of the opening after the jump.
