To christen their new space in style, the Gagosian in Hong Kong will be hosting Damien Hirst’s Forgotten Promises as their debut show on January 18. After famously celebrating the opening of their Paris branch in October with Cy Twombly, the powerhouse gallery will followup with their first outpost in Asia by bringing the UK badboy along and word is he will be exhibiting his “mini skull” fashioned after child’s skull and adorned with pink diamonds – a scaled-down version of For the Love of God appropriate for the current economy perhaps.
