Openings: Agnès B – Howard St. “Galerie Boutique” Launch & Exhibition

Last week AM attended dual receptions to celebrate the launch of Agnès B’s Howard St. flagship store in New York’s SoHo district. The dazzling concept space will be known as “Galerie Boutique” which also serves as a gallery to exhibit some of legendary designer’s favorite artists. The launch events took place over two nights and drew numerous notables from the fashion and art scene.

A long time patron of the arts, Agnès has supported many of the artists we’ve all come to love and this inaugural exhibition reflected just that with an amazing group of artists including Jose Parla, Ryan McGinness, Dan Colen, Ryan McGinley, BAST, Harmony Korine, Young Kim (aka Suitman), Rostarr, David Ellis and Dash Snow (just to name a few). The diverse show displayed unique original works ranging from photography to canvas to digital media. Also, an updated line of collaborative artist apparel created just for the new space was introduced.

Agnes presents a toast to christen the new space!

A special print was created just for this exhibition. The photo “owl” by Ryan McGinley from his recent “Life Adjustment Center” show has been transformed into a gorgeous print (edition of 2000). It measures 22 x 32 inches and free for visitors to the new space. So make sure to stop by!
