A couple weekends ago, Urban Nation continued their ongoing arts program in Berlin with a new show curated by Henrik Haven & Olly Walker entitled CUT IT OUT!. Focusing on the artistic merit of the stencil, the group exhibition brought together some well known street artists skilled with the technique. Our latest interview is with artist Adam Feibelman (aka Adam 5100), who hails from New Mexico & has been working in San Francisco for the past sixteen years. His most common medium and technique involves enamel paintings utilizing stencils & stitched paper stencil collages. With Alex Lukas set to present his superb collection of new paintings this Saturday at Guerrero Gallery, we thought we would highlight the previous show that just closed at the SF showspace entitled Building Context. Last Saturday, Guererro Gallery hosted the opening for an exhibition featuring two artists who are truly masters at their craft: Mike Giant and Adam 5100 (previewed). Both artists displayed work not typically found in their previous exhibitions, which gave the show a more personal feel.
