With Alex Lukas set to present his superb collection of new paintings this Saturday at Guerrero Gallery, we thought we would highlight the previous show that just closed at the SF showspace entitled Building Context. The show featured a set of artists including Leigh Wells, Matt Gonzalez, Adam Feiblman (Adam 5100), Boris Tellegen (Delta), Greg Lamarche, Joey Piziali, and Ray Beldner that utilize paper as a medium in their art, leading to an eclectic mix of work that was diverse yet cohesive. Last Saturday, Guererro Gallery hosted the opening for an exhibition featuring two artists who are truly masters at their craft: Mike Giant and Adam 5100 (previewed). Both artists displayed work not typically found in their previous exhibitions, which gave the show a more personal feel. Mike Giant (who was occasionally spotted riding around outside the gallery on his bicycle) displayed his usual crisp Sharpie work on paper, as well as works on canvas done with One Shot enamel, intricate tracings on paper, and collages featuring [...]

Our good friends at StolenSpace just sent us a little look into their coming show with renowned punk band Green Day. The show curated by Logan Hicks (featured) features a strong lineup of urban artists such as Ron English (featured),Â London Police, C215, Will Barras, Eelus, Chris Stain (interviewed), Sixten, Adam 5100 each doing a piece inspired by Green Day’s music.
