SDCC ’16: South Park 20th Anniversary Art Show

During this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, adult animated sitcom South Park hosted a 20th anniversary art show as part of their South Park 20 experience. Curated by Ron English, many of the participants are of course known to readers of AM including Buff Monster, Anthony Ausgang, Sas Christian, RISK, Kenny Scharf, Faile, and more. Streets: Buff Monster // Mural Festival (Montreal)

Earlier this month, Buff Monster painted a new mural in Montreal for this year’s edition of the Mural Festival. Working along with other artists in the heart of Saint-Laurent Boulevard, the American artist decided to tackle the them of the deadly seven sins through the lens of his signature ice cream characters. Openings: Buff Monster – “Legend of the Pink Cherry” @ Corey Helford

A couple weeks ago in Corey Helford Gallery, show-goers in Culver City were hit with a healthy does of pink, courtesy of Buff Monster (featured) – on his birthday no less. Legend of the Pink Cherry follows the LA-based artist’s narrative as his main coned character & hero goes on his travels & adventures.
