It’s been slightly over a year, but you may remember last time when UK-based artist Von (interviewed) generously gave away his Animals: Collector’s Edition Box Set here on AM. Just in time for Christmas, Von is once again teaming up with us here to give one lucky reader his new Semblance – Collector’s Edition Box Set. This week’s street work roundup around the globe starts with some new public art in London from Von, who recently released his Semblance collector’s box set. Releases / Giveaway: Von – “Animals: Collector’s Edition Box Set” & “Lion 01″ Print

Von, or HelloVon (interviewed) has released a pretty nice set of prints entitled “Animals: Collector’s Edition Box Set”. Each of the boxes are handmade with the set coming in an edition of 50 and priced at £225. Sized at 40cm x 30cm, each print is signed and numbered and is based on his Animal Series. To make things a little more interesting, there are five original drawings from Von inserted randomly if you are feeling lucky. These are available for purchase here for those interested. [...]

StolenSpace Gallery in London is hosting their annual summer group show tonight. As usual, the roster features some stalwarts from their stable of artists as well as mixing in some new talent. One of the pieces we look forward to checking out ourselves is “Rocketeers” from Chloe Early (interviewed). Wintertime groups shows are common this time of year, so it’s not surprising we have another one to share with you. “Winter Warmers” opened last week at in London at the StolenSpace Gallery, and as you can see from the image above, D*Face (interviewed) was in a festive mood. UK based artist Von, or HelloVon as he has come to be known, is opening his show “Semblance” (previewed) at Cerasoli Gallery. The show has been on display since last weekend but the opening reception is this Saturday, September 19th at the Culver City gallery. We sat down with him to talk about his beautiful paintings which incorporate abstract and realistic elements at the same time lending to a dream-like, ethereal feel to this body of work. HelloVon, the London artist whose work first caught our eye at the “New Utopia” show at Subliminal Projects, just sent us a time-lapse video of one of his pieces for his upcoming show at Cerasoli Gallery.Â Entitled “Semblance,” his new body of work will no doubt feature and interesting mix of loose and detailed elements in each piece. StolenSpace shows always attract a good crowd and last week’s opening of their annual “Summer Group Show” was no exception. London was basking in a serious heatwave last week and the ice cold Tiger Beer was a welcome relief from the heat for the AM contingent attending the show.
