Recently on her webstore, Jen Stark released a small clothing line featuring here “drippy” imagery. For those interested, there are now a men’s t-shirt, women’s crop top, and leggings all featuring the psychedelic drip patterns often seen in her work with a price set at $45, $40, and $55 respectively. Those are bold enough to wear these will certainly drawing attention to their style and at the same time introducing the work of Stark to everyone who sees them. Discuss Jen Stark here.

Tomorrow (February 14th) from noon-5pm, Jen Stark will be selling some customized pots at the Rob Pruitt Flea Market. The market event from Pruitt has had many iterations in the past with the latest being Sunday in Downtown LA (1019 E 4th Place). Along with other artists friends, Stark will be peddling her wares – some of her iconic colorful and psychedelic patterns painted on plant holders. Discuss Jen Stark here.

Another strong satellite fair seen during this year’s Basel Week Miami was certainly Untitled. Showing a diverse selection of contemporary works, the roster included 119 international galleries, not-for-profit exhibition spaces and institutions from over 20 countries. From familiar and well established names to young, new emerging talents from around the globe, the fair included paintings, installations, sculptures as well as performance art pieces. Recently to the delight of her fans in the Los Angeles area, Jen Stark painted some of her signature imagery on the facade of PLATFORM, a retail venue opening next year in Culver City. The psychedelic drips of color that are often seen in her mural painting mirror the geometric colors seen in her papercut sculptures, leading to a cohesive aesthetic seen across the versatile artist’s oeuvre. On Thursday, September 24th, Jen Stark will be releasing a new good-sized print entitled Drip Cascade. The imagery used is easily recognizable as one from a series of works from the Los Angeles-based artist playing with psychedelic colors and patterns. Produced in an edition of 200 (with 9 AP’s), it measures 24″ x 30″, and will cost $550. Head over here at 4 pm Eastern Time if you are interested in adding it to your collection. Continuing to collaborate artists that speak to a new generation of viewers (see KAWS & Dabs Myla), MTV has tapped the visual language of Jen Stark for 2015’s VMA. Working with host Miley Cyrus on this year’s award show, the Los Angeles-based artist looks to be integrating her recognizable psychedelic & colorful imagery in animations, video spots (example below), ads, and artwork for the stage, among other things. Continuing to go big with her art, Jen Stark recently completed an installation for the new Facebook building in the Bay Area. With a team of assistants by her side, the Los Angeles-based artist left here colorful make on the inside of the Gehry building for the Facebook Artist in Residence program. The multi-layered psychedelic colors seem to drip down from the edges of the indoor structure mirroring the imagery seen in her gallery work. More photos below… Discuss Jen Stark here.
Versatile artist Jen Stark certainly kept busy with her art visible at various venues during Basel Week Miami, including showing at the Untitled. art fair (covered). Before leaving town, she also completed a large scale public mural at the Miami International Airport located at Terminal D & E (3rd level), just off the moving skywalk.
