Inside the Mark Warren Jacques & Seth Neefus “Free Life Center”

If you remember, we told you about the Free Life Center a while back, a project dreamed up by Mark Warren Jacques (interviewed) & Seth Neefus. Well, the traveling art structure has been thru Canada and much of the States and has arrived at it’s final destination – San Francisco at Needles + Pens. On Tour: Mark Warren Jacques & Seth Neefus – “Free Life Centre”

Free Life Centre is a touring art installation and performance space conceived and constructed by artists Mark Warren Jacques (interviewed) and Seth Neefus. Last year, the friends and co-owners of Together Gallery (along with fellow artists Timothy Karpinski and David Wien), decided to put out a call for funding for the project, which was answered by friends and supporters. Openings – New Directions @ White Walls

Opening alongside “Meticulous Engagements” at the Shooting Gallery was White Walls’ “New Directions” a group show consisting of five talents that the gallery has been building this past year.  Featuring Mark Warren Jacques (pictured above), Henry Gunderson (interviewed), Akira Beard, Robert Burden, and Cheryl Molnar. Portland artist Mark Warren Jacques (interviewed) will be returning to San Francisco soon and has released a video in conjunction with his visit. Openings: Winter Group Show @ White Walls

In addition to Travis Louie’s (interviewed) opening at Shooting Gallery last weekend (covered), the Winter Group Show debuted alongside in the adjoining White Walls gallery.  Featuring some heavy hitters such as Shepard Fairey (featured), the Clayton Brothers (featured), and Anthony Lister (interviewed) the group show also boasts some upcoming and very exciting talent, namely artists like Nas Champas, Mark Warren Jacques (interviewed and pictured above), Aaron Nagel, and Casey Gray.  The Winter Group show will be open, along with Travis Louie’s show, till January 2nd. Preview: Winter Group Show @ White Walls

White Walls SF is gearing up for a big group show which features Kill Pixie, Greg Gossel (interviewed), Katy Horan, Ernesto Yerena, Timothy Karpinski, Mark Warren Jacques (interviewed), Erik Foss, Henry Gunderson (interviewed), Mike Shine, Phillip Lumbang, and more. Here’s a little sneak peak at some new works from Shepard Fairey (featured), Clayton Brothers (featured) and Anthony Lister (interviewed) that will be at this show. It opens this Saturday, December 12th for all you folks in the San Francisco area. Interviews/Opening: Mark Warren Jacques @ Fontanelle Gallery

Portland artist Mark Warren Jacques has been busy working on a new solo show featuring interactive installation, painting, and sculpture titled “Big Beautiful Color” at Fontanelle Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
