Good Press Gallery has been in existence for just a few short months now, and AM got to check out their inaugural group exhibition The Family Show back in October whilst visiting Glasgow. With a keen curatorial eye and a healthy DIY spirit, Good Press’ upcoming group exhibition It Is As It Was features five young artists whose work we enjoy. Matthew Feyld, R.M. Matthew Feyld seems to be a regular on flights between Canada and Sweden of late. After two solo exhibitions and a residency at Krets in Malmö, and a solo and residency at Neon in Brösarp last year, Feyld is taking on the curation of the forthcoming group exhibition at Krets – Family Shirt. AM recently brought you a glimpse of Matthew Feyld’s installation coming together at his two concurrent solo shows in Sweden at Krets and Neon. It was following his period of residency during August and the beginning of this month at the galleries. Both shows have since opened, and as we suggested may happen, Feyld was let loose to assemble a large freestanding installation at Neon. A unexpected pairing of artists will be opening their show this Friday the 13th at Thinkspace Gallery in the Silverlake District. Canadian artist Matthew Feyld (interview by sourharvest) will be presenting a new body of work along with David MacDowell with his debut solo show. We like Feyld’s clean lines, colors and his strange cast of charaters. MacDowell’s work is like satiric political cartoons on steroids filled with caricatures of famous celebrities in unlikely but often hilarious situations. More preview pics after the jump.
