On Friday, the 20th of January, Format Artspace in Copenhagen will be opening a new exhibition by Carl Krull. Exclusively focused on five series of hand pulled silk-screen prints, Sediment will include new works that for first time in years include colors. Through his simple and unique visual language, the Danish artist manages to get his images from the two-dimensional surface of the paper. His recognizable line work creates portraits and other imagery in an almost sculptural manner, with finished pieces reminiscent of topographic maps or tree rings. In his newest […]

Last October, Liqen spent some time in Vicenza, Italy, working on his newest lithograph at Busato Workshop. Working at the same table as Miró, De Chirico and Rafael Alberti did back in the days was quite an experience for an artist fully dedicated to creating traditional artwork. Whether he is working on drawings, paintings, murals, ceramics, or creating limited editions, the Spanish always makes sure he is using the most challenging ways of producing work. Devenire Fetus Granata is part of the series “Behavioval” (Oval Behavior), the idea based on […]

Swamped with Basel Week Miami coverage, we’ve almost missed the release of a new print by the Spanish artist Aryz. His latest self produced and self released print is titled Death of Beauty and we were told only few copies are still left unsold. Though known primarily for his unique large murals, Aryz chose a color pencil study as an image for his latest release. Always up for trying new things, and true to the concept of studies and drawings being the most honest form of […]
