Vhils x GS1 Portugal | Center for Innovation and Competitiveness (Lisbon)

Vhils (filmed) recently finished a collaboration with the architects behind the new headquarters of GS1 Portugal | Center for Innovation and Competitivenes in Lisbon. For this project, the Portuguese artist’s unique mark marking skills were applied to the concrete slabs that make up the exterior of the building, giving the facade some abstract and textured imagery highlighted by elements of facial features. Recap: The Hard Rock Stadium Murals (Miami)

Releases: Vhils x Underdogs Edition

On December 7th (4pm GMT), Vhils (filmed) will be releasing a super limited edition through Underdogs. Produced in a run of 12, the piece seems to have some dimensional qualities to it, mirroring the Portuguese artist’s studio and public works. Streets: World Roundup (July 11 – July 31)

We end July this year with another Streets World Roundup, covering some of the public art from around the globe that you may have missed. After sharing with you the public installation from Vhils (filmed) inspired by the neon lights of Hong Kong, we now turn our attention to the exhibition he currently has on display with the HOCA Foundation. Debris was the first solo show from the Portuguese artist in Hong Kong and features his multitude of techniques on different mediums including a video installation. Showing: Vhils – “Debris” @ HOCA Foundation (Part I)

As part of his solo exhibition with the HOCA Foundation in Hong Kong, Alexandre Farto aka Vhils (filmed) has prepped a special installation at the Terrace of Pier 4 in Central. The neon works were modeled after the ubiquitous lighted signage the Portuguese saw during his residency in Hong Kong, as well as images that he created from scratch.
