Art Basel Week in Miami may have a lot of action indoors at the fairs, but that’s not the only place you will find the arts. As you can see with Wynwood Walls and along the streets of Miami, in recent years we have seen artists make contributions on the outdoors too. We took a break from the fair circuit during the week to meet up with friend Shepard Fairey to catch him working on this gorgeous Mandala Ornament mural on the side of a gorgeous building on the corner of 40th NW & Miami Ave. What’s unique of about this mural is that Shepard usually builds with wheatpaste. In this instance Mr. Fairey did his homework beforehand and crafted a site specific stencil to geometrically tag this building (legally of course).

Check it out after the jump.
