Releases: El Mac – “The Humble and Sublime” Print

Next Tuesday, April 15th (at a random time between 11 am and 1 pm EDT), El Mac will be releasing a new five color screenprint through Yves Laroche entitled The Humble and Sublime. The image is based on a painting from 2010, and will come in a run of 40, be sized at 29 x 21 inches, and cost $350. Streets: La Tour Paris 13 Demolished

The other day, the inevitable end of La Tour Paris 13‎ project (covered) started. The big (de)construction machines surrounded the building inside which 100 artists from around the world left their mark, and started tearing it down. This project was curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance, and was undertaken with the idea to paint the inside of this abandoned building creating the biggest street art exhibition in France. Showing: Vhils @ Caixa Cultural

Vhils aka Alexandre Farto recently spent some time in Brazil working with the Guarani tribe in the Piraquara region and creating a new body of work for a show at Caixa Cultural in Curitiba, Brazil.  The Portuguese artist spent some time working with the tribesmen in the Araçaí village, creating works for the show, as well as leaving his mark in the village. On April 3rd, Camille Rose Garcia (interviewed) opened her latest solo show at Roq la Rue, titled La Danse Macabre, which translates to Dance of Death, a theme originated in the late middle ages to remind us that no one escapes the hand of death. Previews: Naoto Hattori – “Nothing But Perception” @ Dorothy Circus Gallery

On April 12th, Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome will be hosting a new solo show from Naoto Hattori. Nothing But Perception will be the second exhibition with the gallery and will feature 11 brand new artworks from the Japanese artist. Releases: Jeff Soto – “Seeker Friends Elements: Life” Print

Earlier this year, we introduced you to the Seeker Friends Elements series from Jeff Soto (interviewed). A continuation of his Seeker Friends prints, the set of nine total timed editions will have a new addition, Life, on Thursday at noon PST, and will be available for 24 hours until noon PST on Friday after which no more will be sold. Sized at 6″ x 6″ on sustainable plywood, the new print will be available for $30 at the aforementioned time at Prints On Wood. Discuss Jeff Soto here.
