Argentinian based artist Franco Fasoli aka JAZ opened a solo show at BC Gallery in Berlin on June 6th. Titled Vinculo, this exhibition is a continuation of the successful collaboration between the gallery and the artist. The paintings created for this show are “defined by the tensions of ambivalence,” and instead of showing his signature anamorphic imagery, are “divided” into animalistic and humanoid ones. Focused on the powerful and aggressive appearance of the animals, especially wild cats, and violent behavior of humans, Fasoli created a series of complementing works. The works are painted to be displayed in the gallery space and therefore “fill the atmosphere with the spirit of his vision.”
