As we previously mentioned, Stavanger’s legendary street art festival, Nuart Festival recently joined forces with Aberdeen Inspired and the Aberdeen City Council to organize the first edition of the festival outside of Norway. Nuart Aberdeen will be held from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 April 2017 (Easter Weekend), and we’re bringing you the final lineup of international artists.
Along with Robert Montgomery, Herakut, and Julien de Casabianca that were announced first, the organizers have now also revealed the remaining eight artists that will showcase their work through a series of site-specific murals, installations, interventions, and temporary exhibitions. In no particular order, this lineup includes Portugese visual artist and illustrator Add Fuel, Bergen-based artist Nipper with his citizen-led communication in public space, talented figurative street artist, Australian Fintan Magee, Spanish sculptor and interventionist Isaac Cordal, multimedia artist from Rome Alice Pasquini, long-time collaborator of Nuart, the Polish M-City, stencil artist and urban interventionist from Brussels, Jaune, and one of Norway’s leading stencil artists, Martin Whatson. Aside from creating new public works of art throughout the city, the event will include Film Friday “live” at Belmont Filmhouse, hosted by Brooklyn Street Art, and a wide program of exciting activities including talks, presentations, and workshops. AM will be there to report directly from the spot, so stay tuned for our updates.
